About Flicka

Personality: Flicka is a quiet girl, often time lost in dreams, and very introspective. She appreciates the little things in life and cares deeply for others. She is shy and doesn’t ask much of others. She has a sweet smile and stays around her own group of close friends.

Hobbies: She enjoys listening to a good story, watching others, and daydreaming.

Powers/Abilities: Flicka represents the warm feelings of comfort, feelings you might feel when sitting around a fire. She gives others with pleasant daydreams when life is hard, always assuring them there’s a light at the end of the tunnel. She can lift someone’s spirits by providing them with a sweet memory or pleasant thought by striking one of the matches she carries on her and holding it up to them, revealing it to them and herself. Flicka doesn’t fight, but the light and visions her matches give off scare away Fearlings and Nightmares.

Dreams: That all children can just be children and not forced to grow up, for abuse of all kinds to end

Life Story: Flicka grew up in a broken family; her mother had long ago left her to the mercy of her father, an abusive parent who forced her to sell matches on the streets to earn her keep. One New Year’s Eve, the girl shivers in a corner, snow and cold stealing heat from her body, in fear of returning with no money. Freezing she lights a match and finds herself in front of a warm stove. Just as she starts to get warm, the flame goes out. She does this twice more, bringing forward visions of a goose dinner and lit Christmas tree, all to vanish in the ousted flame. Once more she lights a match and sees her deceased grandmother, the only person to ever truly love her. She lights all the matches and begs her to not go. Her grandmother promises she won’t leave the child. The next morning, the girl is found dead, smile on her face, burnt out matches scattered at her feet.
